UPDATE: WORK ON HOLD!

It has come to the attention of the Skyview North HOA, that there will be utility work conducted in the Skyview neighborhood beginning next Wednesday, April 17th, 2024. 

What is Happening? CenturyLink is establishing service to all homes in Skyview North, Skyview South, and Aurora Hills. Service is being brought in from the north at the Nissan dealership.  

Why did we not know about this? This is a utility plan that would have gone through city planning and been approved by the building department. According to current city codes and development practices, the company is not required to inform residents, with the exception of a notice that work will begin within 5-7 days.

How will this work be done? Generally speaking, this will be done with underground boring, however, if you read the keynotes and legend on the plans you'll see that there are pedestals, "flower boxes" or flush mount boxes, and feeding tubes that will be placed in some people's yards. There is also the possibility of trenching that may take place in some front lawns. 

Who is doing the work? JC Utilities will be the subcontractor performing the work for Lumen/CenturyLink/Quantum which are all the same company cable company. JC is NOT responsible for the plan, they're simply the ones doing the work. Please treat the workers with respect, even if you disagree with the overall plan. 

Please let your neighbors know what is going on as the HOA does not have everyone’s addresses. 

Our HOA president is setting up communications with the Utilities Company and we will update everyone as information becomes available.
